This chamber was named in honor of Thomas Jefferson. In this area you will find a crock which contains water dripping from above. This depicts what the very early tours did to get refreshment while touring. Back in the early years, without lights and proper trails, it was a tour of several hours’ worth of climbing to get though the entire cavern and a cold drink of water tasted pretty good at several stops along the way.
